Being a Mommy Alone is:

taking a shower every other day and still having to do it in two parts so that you can go soothe the baby in the middle.

staying up after the 430 am feeding so that you can have that cup of coffee and do the dishes and laundry and take out the trash. And that’s if the baby goes back to sleep after.

considering guests to be people to whom you hand the baby while you take a shower that actually involves shaving your legs.

planning to run an afternoon errand all morning and then having to put it off because the baby is fussy.

working so hard to not doze off during the third middle of the night feeding and still not napping while the baby naps during the day because that’s your chance to finally eat a real meal and cut your fingernails and pay bills.

Being ON 24/7, but hey at least with all of the hard times you also get all of the sweet times and baby snuggles.
